The wizard tried to rob the Gold Goblin! He cast a spell on the lanterns in the tavern that made them flare and blinded almost everyone. Darling was affected but I closed my eyes just in time. I decided that no one else was getting that gold and summoned Heliogabalus to deal with him. He took a nice bite out of the wizard, but the wizard was able to open the imp's cage. Another accomplice came and cast something out of a scroll that made the chest of gold disappear! I summoned some ice from Cocytus to impede him, and Darling was able to put him down easily. I took the chest for safekeeping, and noticed that the wizard had been dealt with by others.

Saul Vancaskerkin finally showed up after all the commotion, and those of us that were left introduced ourselves. Then he told us he wanted to hire us to help him guard the place and build his business. It's a profit sharing program. It is just what I need for right now, so I'm in. We got a reward of 1000 silver from Saul, and I picked up a few items from the accomplice before he was taken away.

I visited the Calistrian temple here, the House of the Silken Veil. It's run by Sharofa Pamodae, and I made a deal with her that I hope will help the Gold Goblin. I'll have to bed her, but sacrifices must be made. I'm also working with the arena master here to see if my summons can help us reduce costs. My compatriots made other arrangements that should help too. They tried to figure out who was behind the robbery and dragged me out to a pier, but nothing came of it. It's probably Clegg Zincher, who showed up at the Gold Goblin. He doesn't gamble, so it was some sort of message. I'm not sure what yet though.
