Day 11 - Evening
After more "talking" from Lucan, we move on to EEKA. There's a large collapsed structure near EEKA, there's an eco-friendly sign [100% recycled store][??]. As we approach, lights flicker on [auto-sense] - perhaps signs of life? Or perhaps spirits or an artifact? A discussion of tactics & the lights may have alerted anyone inside, Inyan marches forward towards the green opening. Kohana figures out a way to move the revolving door after cutting the river of lightning. The interior is lit up erratically. The escalators move up & down as we approach. Kaliska is able to disrupt the spirits of the moving stairs & we proceed upward w/ little caution.
Lucan goes on a rant that the Council is trying to make us weak & slothful by making them relying on others. Inyan puts forth the notation that the humans worshiped Eco & this is a temple of Ikea which helps them recycle. This could be a good thing. We find a store of books that is gibberish. Could be useful as journals. We gather up paper, pencils, and chalk. Maya finds a map to the building. We gather samples of utensils, tools, bagged treats, and dinnerware. We proceed downstairs.
After a bit of exploration Sadian deduces the numbering system on aisle & bin, activating the Automatic Distribution System which causes lots of noise but delivers the box of floor tiling. Sadian has pulled a Kohana. I give the box to Inyan who trips the alarm, making lots of noise & lights. Lucan fires an arrow to silence the alarm & we exit with haste. There is a ringing bell outside. The humans are weird & loud. Kohana & Lucan silence the bell in short order.
This alerts some sort of drakes [lizard birds], which are both small and large. There are two guards, two spitters, two rage ones, & a winged one. Inyan engages the Pack Leader with a charge & pinned him down. Shinte whittles away at a rage one, carving huge gashes into the creatures flank, as it tries to get to Maya, he guts the creature with a well placed blow. Lucan brings down a spitter in a hail of arrow fire. The Pack Leader spits poison, effecting half our party but a Hymn of Resurgance negates the effect nicely. The Word allows me to slay the Leader with a Stirring Shout my judgment of his health being off. Inyan slays a guard drake as Shinte kills the last one & runs away yipping. But the Spitter hits Shinte with a last gasp of revenge.
