Episode 10
After yet another lengthy discussion on our fates, we end up sending some rather cryptic messages back to Isla Anheles, to people we believe we can trust. I don't believe we can trust anyone at this point.
Kohana pokes through the ruins and finds some glass items he considers valuable.
In the meantime, a wildcat boat pulls ashore, and Shinte Mahpyua steps off. Shinte's father.
He warns us that the Council is broken. Further, he says that he himself burned down the Council House. What odd news. Or is it that odd? The whisperings of the wing beats of the midnight crow portend much.
In any case, he must resign and cast himself out. Shinte is to replace him on the council.
Yes, that Shinte. Yes, I know, me too.
The People are without focus. The Council is too full of itself. We need an enemy. The People need a threat to pull them together against it.
Whether that threat is Ratkin, Bearkin, or our band, we must find it or create it.
Meantime, Sadian comes into possession of maps and information on the wildcat ships and schedules throughout the InSea. He has valuable friends.
We decide to investigate the OST FFICE and the cargo containers. First, we drag one container to the shore and open it. It is full of boxes with pictures of bitten apples on their sides. Who wants apples, and half eaten ones at that? But inside are merely black glass plates.
Lucan scouts to the extent of the Mushroom People territory, so we can provide a secure perimeter. We head to the base of the bridge, then to the OST FFICE.
This den has shuttered windows and doors, two fences, the inner of which sparks with bottled lightning. We open the front door instead. Inside is an area with gates, and another area with very small boxes mounted in the walls.
The gated area holds envelopes with the name of this temple's deity on them -- TYVEK. Clearly they received offerings in these envelopes. Ingenious really, assembly line religion.
Lucan opens one of the largest tiny wall boxes. It has no back. Kohana and Sadian crawl through. We surmise these are the offering windows, so that the priests never need come into direct contact with the worshippers.
We search the whole place and find little. The roof is covered in more black glass plates, but these move to follow the sun, like flowers.
More random crap is found.
We head to the foot of the bridge again, for Sadian to receive a package. Then to IKEA, which we find undisturbed. We pilfer a few more goods and send a message to the ship captain to assist us.
One container is towed to Midpoint Island to supply the People working there. We hitch a ride to the Peninsula Of Doom.
We land near a large flat field with riser stairs all around. An arena of some sort? We explore through the streets and find an area sunken under water, with ruined buildings and sunken boats.
We move on and find a huge Smoothstone building with metal doors and a fence. We are being watched. Something swoops at us!
