In the evening as we head over to Helmet’s house to rescue Phon. Politics are involved. It seems a silly thing to fight over. It’s all just about power. At any rate, I check the place out. I move about with out being noticed. There are two rouges that are guarding both entrances. The windows are boarded up, just shuddered on second level. Looks like it will be hard to get into. The rouges seem to be flunkies but even flunks can sound an alarm. Male human is out front, recently shaved his head, and they both have a symbol on there forehead. Fateweavers – earn money by reading the future of people. Fatewavers have some connection to Urthon Aedar (wondering Judges). The Urthon Aedar are armed guards who show up suddenly, to do elvish things and then disappear.
Kekitat and I head around back to take out the backdoor guard and the rest go around front. Are trigger is ‘Sailing over Venus’. That is sprung and Kikitat leaps and I look around the other corner because my beard tingles. I hate it when my beard tingles. The group in front barge in. Why try being subtle or planning anything? I unlock the back door. I yell up to have them pull them off the main street, for the love of (insert Ptolus thing here.) I start searching for traps. Under the stairs I finds robes to “priests of the watcher of the skies.”
I head upstairs and unlock many door, including one nice lock. The house looks like it’s never really been used. The bedroom behind the good lock looks to have been used. Note found that talks of a golden lord with the darkest elf and idol of Ravvan. The vacant lot on Brandywine Street is where to go. There is also a note “meetings in Kartare… something happens in Dragonsbirth Mountains, but what?”
Damn, I striped the screw trying to pull the nice lock out. The cultist says the real Shulicar is near the ocean… that’s nice an vague. Oh death is all around him. Like the necropolis is a place to just search. Or go after the inverted pyramid. Shit this guy seems looks like he has power.
We let the two fateweavers go and take the Phon to the pale tower. We pass some nobles and Otto hops out and give the head of House Dallimothan (house dragon). Really midnight and handing out business cards?!? Why draw attention? I guess this is why they get to go such interesting things all of the time.
Kadiradel a Malkuth, at pale tower, decides to shelter her, but reinforces that she has free will. Kekitat stays to keep an eye on her. We then end the night at the Ghostly Minstrel. I stick by Otto and keep an eye on the all key.
Picked up four masterwork Juggling balls. They are Marlite, look like iron balls but are blue like cobalt. They are magically resistant and can not be effected by magic. (Will they pass with me if I teleport?)
I really need to figure out what to do with my mechanical desires. What machines could I really build and for what?
I hang out with Otto and they deal with trying to clean up there mess. These juggling balls are simply amazing.
