I checked my supernatural inventory and found a rumor that the Vallis moon is returning. There is a secret 13th month of the calendar, called Vallis. One can only access the secret month by casting a secret spell. Supposedly you cast the spell on Year's End Day, and you gain that extra month.

I assisted with the interrogation of Visshik, by Mind Touching and Intimidating the living hell out of him to terrify him into revealing all. He revealed all the cult members by their cult names that were to be meeting with Iltumar this evening as well:

-Skairris Noll
-Jamill Roshama
-Anikka Thersil
-Dilar
-Arveth

He informed us that they always wear hoods when they meet, so he knows no faces. He was employed by Wuntad (back from the dead) yesterday. He also mentioned Malleck, who works at the Temple of the Ebon Hand, which seemed to be the next task, to go meet Malleck. I knew that the Surgeon of the Shadows will alter one's body for the right price as part of which he might grant fantastic new abilities. I have also heard that his real name is Kinion Luth. He also has connections to virtually all criminal organizations throughout the city, and is a Master of Chaositech. It seemed as well that the cultists were wearing amulets whereas Visshik wasn't. It seemed to be for the Brotherhood of Venom, according to Otto. Said Brotherhood is a Chaos Cult dedicated to murder. This cultist joined 3 weeks ago, and Jamill brought him into the cult.

Upon leaving the interrogation, we found the vase that Côr found (with all the bawdy pictographs) and I checked to see if any of the items were magical. They were not. Among the papers found in the office, we found a letter detailing the link between the Brotherhood of Venom and the Cult of the Ebon Hand. Malleck, the leader of the cult, was wanting to kidnap children and indoctrinate them into the Cult. Secret Project also detailed in Old Town off of Crossing Street. There are three books, 1> Migration patterns of Manticores with notes in the margin in Draconic pointing out errors, 2> 100 pg thesis on the crossbow pistol and its application (almost a patent statement), 3> Invocation to the Goddess written in a very strange language (Abyssal). On checking the temple area, I puzzled out that the statue was a succubus. It seemed to be one of the forms of the Vested of the Galchutt: Vladaam. One of the 10 Noble Houses of Ptolus is called House Vladaam. They are noted to be the most decadent and corrupt of the Noble Houses. They're interested in collecting the Hunger Swords. It's said there are 6 Hunger Swords, all made of black adamantine. They are relics of Unholiness, and absorb magic and are generally bad things. According to Côr, the house leader Iristul Vladaam is abroad and searching for the 6 swords. They were actually lost many years ago. While Iristul is away, his daughter Navanna (extremely crafty by reputation) is the acting head of the House. They are rumored to have werewolves guarding the mansion. Upon checking the orb in the table it seemed to be a material called 'Vallis', and is rumored to be a piece of the actual moon. It can be prepared extremely specially, and that piece thus prepared can be used in lieu of any personal power to fuel spells. If improperly prepared, the piece will start draining life and magic energies from anyone in the area. The orb is about 3' in diameter.

We used 70GP out of party gold to obtain a cart with hay and furs to transport the orb back to 'home' to the Pythoness House. Plopping it down in a room, however, I spent a full day examining how to separate a few ounces of the orb in an effort to both learn how to do so, as well as to present a gift to Jevvica for gathering more and more of the talismans to stay in contact with ourselves and other specific parties in the city for free.

In Oldtown there is a school, called Master Allam's School of Thought. This was in response to Cheval's discovery from a member of his Church that someone had vanished in or around near the School. It is near Flamemoth Way, NW of Guided St.

Reports on Kinion Luth is that he's an Elf and has transformed himself through Chaositech. He has a reputation throughout the city and beyond. This per Mulwrit's research.

{Insert Plot Hook}The Shade Tower doesn't seem to actually exist, but it does cast a shadow as though it did exist. Another name for it is Kadmiel, and is said to exist in its own place, called the Shadow of Ptolus. It 'exists' right at the crossing of Vock Row and Ridge Road. The only known way to reach the Tower is with the Box of Shadows. Cheval suggested that the Box of Shadows might have been what was stolen, indeed, from the golden statue man in Castle Shard. The person to have supposedly stolen would be Shilukar. Upon finding a couple of representatives from Inverted Pyramid, I asked what sort of research had been done to this point. They believed it was a portent of the future, and were inclined to leave it play out a while longer and see if anything beyond the flames were going to be happening. I then went to the I.P. to speak with Jevvica directly. Jevvica and I spoke at length about it, and she offered the option that it might be a general rift in time/space that might open a door to the past instead of the future. She doesn't know offhand when the Tower disappeared but it is my concern that there are building, layered spells that might be seated off the Tower and Vallis. I asked her to investigate the spell to work Vallis, so we could know what to look for as well as the description and function of the Box of Shadows. She is also going to investigate the disappearance date of the Tower to determine what the structures around the Tower – upon reflection the shadow imagery from the area does not reflect the current architecture. She will communicate the findings to me eventually.

After Otto's set at The Ghostly Minstrel with dinner, we then ventured as a group over to the warehouse behind the school to hunt up Cheval's friend's sister's cousin's nephew's brother's former roommate. Upon sneakin' around the warehouse by a few of us, we entered the 'back' door. After sifting through the crap in the room, Côr found the secret door and sussed out how to open it. Upon opening it, through the various halls, we slew the guardians and a 'friend' or two of the Surgeon. We also found CQ and Kurm (being 'improved'). After slaughtering all and chasing the Surgeon around who then disappeared
