Ptolus:SearchingShadows

We have stumbled upon a puzzle...a puzzle that interests me for my own reasons. With the information that Garioth had told me. I have ingratiated myself somewhat to Lord Rau, I must continue in this as I develop my own resources, my own means, and connections. And given Lord Rau's garden I think I could learn a thing or two from him that might prove useful.

After making the deal, purchasing some items, and eating the best meal i have had in a long long time. (some of which i had saved for Vrea) It was decided somehow that we should go out to a tavern, where we would listen to some bard sing. While there, the soldier friend of Lord Rau's brother the priest overheard some adventurers discussing worriedly about thier friend and an item called the "Box of Shadows".

So the Soldier, who's name is Tearn invited them over to tell thier tale of woe. I was eager of course because Gareioth had mentioned it as one of the items that was capable of getting to where one of the "Keys of Time" are hidden. But because of my luck one of these adventures was in fact a Sea Elf. I tried to sink further into my chair so as not to be noticed. Although, it did no good. He saw me, and he seem to recognize me, but seem to not know from where. Lord Rau luckily, passed me off as just his gardener.

So this pair of adventurers began to relay, about how their associate had gone crazy, and became obsessed about this Box of Shadows and about how they had been unable to locate it. Eventually, we learned it was located in the Tower of Shadows which we located but the only thing we could see was a shadow of a tower played upon the ground. We hemmed and hawed around the building, i considered seeing if there were trees nearby to ask them if they had seen anything. But that would of taken too long and would of brought up too many questions with the elf there. I was able to find the entrance to where the tower was. Then the elf used the Airt of Gates. Which did confirm that tower was there. The Priest then finished a prayer which briefly revealed the tower to mortal sight. I then told Lord Rau so he could reveal to the rest of the group that there was something called the Staff of Shadows which might allow us egress into the building and I had been told that it was in the city somewhere.

Now, we went our separate ways as we tried to come up with a way into this shadowy tower. I have since come up with a way to pass off my songs as crafted elven items. That would if i want allow me to use my songs in front of my companions without them being the wiser. But i'm not sure if I could fool the elf.
